It was just supposed to be a little concert of the newcomers band…

The musician couple Renate (Melbourne, Australia) and Steve (New York, USA) Iorio moved to the Hessian community of Sinntal-Altengronau in 2017 and were warmly welcomed by the locals of the village – 1200 people. “Could you play a little concert?” was the request of neighbours. “For sure that would be fun” … But why not invite some bands we know and music lovers of the scene to organize a rocking evening together? So the idea was born! However, the small “get-to-know the newcomers”concert became the first Rock-Metal Open-Air, which was supported by the locals with great enthusiasm. SinnerRock started in 2018 with already 650 visitors for the first time. Steve and Renate like a challenge so instead of one stage they decided to have 2 stages with 12 international bands and solo artists providing the best atmosphere and unique rock for one day. Headliner in the year of its creation of course “The Vagrants” with front rock woman Renate Iorio. For organizers and the small community of Altengronau it was an incredible success. Many volunteers supported the project and it was clear that it would not be the only SinnerRock. This was to be a music festival for rock and metal fans who are curious about young and international newcomer bands. On 2 stages there is a platform for well-known acts, exclusive artists and underground heroes. They perform their own songs in a personal style, which makes the rural area, in the geographically nameless triangle between Rhön, Vogelsberg and Spessart, alive with the sound of Rock and Roll . An open air festival created by and for scene fans! “We are very proud of our idyllic village to be able to create such a high profile and to be an integral part of the summer open-air map”, say Renate and Steve Iorio. Visitors and fans of SinnerRock can be curious to see what the crew has in mind for the coming years. Promised are again hard guitar sounds and unique voices.
